Please let me introduce myself.................Hello to all.
My name is Brent and I am based in NZ and thanks to IVAN on this forum I have been invited to join your Italian Forum. (Thank you very much IVAN). I am also a member of the American based 1100F.net forum and have been for some time. My history is long with these bikes and I am very much involved with Honda and the CB series and the performance use of them (racing) ever since they were released in 79. I am however a constructor and not the rider, that I leave to my friends who are much better and more capable on the track.
This history has always involved racing, initially production racing a CBX in 1979 followed by the 1100R and a CB750F from 1980-83 and then by modified versions exclusively until the present.
I do have (with my friend Vince who rides it) a highly spec'd period AHM style Superbike, however it is not a Freddie Spencer copy as as many have done but it does have many parts in/on it which are genuine or similar but are now improved. Because it is now 30 years later and the developments over this time has allowed many improvements in performance until it is superior in many area's than they had available back in the 80's. As time allows I will explain some of these things if interested as the many "Factory" RSC parts I have used and the further developments I have learned over the years may be of interest to some of you.
I look forward to engaging with you all on this forum.

Welcome on board Captain.

Hello Captain..we are proud to have you with us!! You are from Auckland..the land of America's Cup ;)
Wellcome from the big familiy of Hondacb.net!

Welcome Captain,
I hope that the idea to ask you to join this Forum could turn out to be a good one. The language barrier is one of the many that the internet has destroyed nowadays, and when it comes to motorcycles we all speak the same language ... and Google Chrome could be an invaluable help!
Hope that you enjoy --- e spero che ci ci divertiremo anche noi !

Welcome Captain,

Benvenuto a bordo Capitano!

This is another picture of our bike taken a year ago and is my first effort to post a picture on your site. I realise that it should be posted elsewhere so please forgive me until I learn what and where things should be on the forum.

well that worked so here is another one taken in Oct last year as it was being prepared for the new season at that time. It had many new parts fitted and is quite different from the picture IVAN was kind enough to post. That picture was taken in 2009.

Hello Captain,
welcome and good job! Where did you get the clutch (with cover) and the right cover (the one with AHM sign)? It's without alternator, I guess.
Thanks a lot!

Hello Captain!
What a nice motorbike!
CUTIZZA

Thanks a lot!
The clutch is a genuine RSC Dry clutch that I got from a friend in Canada some time ago. It was still in the original packaging and had never been used. The engine does not use an alternator as it is a sprint track bike only and the electrical system is total loss. The cover is also a genuine AHM part and in fact all the covers are the same.(http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww284/WBHYDE/DryClutchAssyetc094.jpg) (http://s728.photobucket.com/user/WBHYDE/media/DryClutchAssyetc094.jpg.html)

This is behind the AHM cover........ It is a titanium disc custom printed degree wheel that is permanently fitted to allow quick and accurate degreeing of the cams or ignition timing. Perfect for racing.

Umh titanium, what else?
PS

Ivan, The steering head is now moved back 25mm (1") and is now made from Chrome Moly and is set at 26 degrees. This is 1.5 thru 2 degrees less than OEM depending on what model bike or year. In addition the triple clamps (Genuine AHM part) are now 50mm (2") offset which is greater than OEM and this reduces the trail. The effect of all this is the front to back weight is now perfectly balanced at 50% each and the handling is very quick as it has good weighting on the front (traction) when turning in. It handles very-very well and Vince who rides it likes it better than many late model bikes.
